Senegal: A Senegalese court has charged a fifth minister from the previous administration with corruption as President Bassirou Diomaye Faye intensifies his anti-corruption efforts. Amadou Mansour Faye, a former minister of community development, is accused of misappropriating over $4.6 million in public funds in Senegal, according to reports. Currently, he serves as the mayor of Saint-Louis. Faye firmly denies the allegations, and his lawyers argue that the charges stem from political persecution.
- Lord, we pray for corrupted ministers in Senegal,to focus on requesting God’s intervention for justice, accountability, and a change of heart in those involved, as well as for the well-being of the Senegalese people affected by corruption (The Holy Bible, Romans 12:2).
- Pray for wisdom and discernment for leaders and the public, and for the dismantling of corrupt systems (The Holy Bible, Romans 8:21).
