When Open Doors began working in Kazakhstan 30 years ago, there were literally a handful of Christian Believers. When Kazakhstan came out from the Soviet Union, many returned to Islam, the religion they followed before Communism. So the Church was an underground movement for many years. Still many Christians meet in homes, as permission to register a church to meet officially is hard to get. Open Doors helped to provide Bibles in the Kazakh language to help disciple and train Believers. Pray that the Christians will once again experience a fresh touch from the Lord this Christmas season (The Bible, Titus 2:11-14).
The United States and the Sultanate of Oman affirmed a strategic partnership on regional security and their agreement to support stability in Yemen. The first strategic dialogue between Oman and the United States, underscored the growing partnership on regional security. The two sides reaffirmed that there is no military solution to the conflict in Yemen and underscored their support for Yemen’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence. Secretary Blinken and Foreign Minister Albusaidi affirmed that international disputes must be resolved peacefully and under international law. They called for a comprehensive extension of the UN-mediated truce and the launch of an inclusive political process that will allow all Yemenis to determine the future of their country. Pray for Omanis to turn to Jesus Christ for forgiveness of their sins.
Pray that many of them will encounter the power of God and be changed (The Bible, Psalm 34:5).
