Day 13
United Arab Emirates
Praise Points
Abba Father, we thank You for the economic prosperity in the UAE, which has allowed many nations’ workers, including Christians, to live and work there, carrying their faith with them. “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it” (Psalm 24:1).
Lord Jesus, we are grateful for the permission given to some churches to operate within designated compounds, providing spaces for worship despite restrictions. “Let us go to His dwelling place, let us worship at His footstool” (Psalm 132:7).
Almighty God, we thank You for radio and online ministries that break through restrictions and give believers access to Your Word. “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the Word of Christ” (Romans 10:17).
Prayer Points
Sovereign Lord, we pray against the heavy monitoring of churches by authorities that creates fear and restricts worship. Strengthen believers to remain steadfast. “We must obey God rather than men” (Acts 5:29).
Lord Jesus, we ask You to overcome the barriers of restricted internet access that deny many Christians access to resources for spiritual growth. “The Word of God is not bound” (2 Timothy 2:9).
Abba Father, we cry out against rising persecution of Christian believers in the UAE. We pray for Your protection upon them and for Your encouragement for them to let their witness shine brightly. “Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted” (2 Timothy 3:12).
A Call to Salvation
Lord Jesus, send Your Spirit upon Christian families in the UAE to nurture faith at home, teaching their children the Scriptures even when access to churches is limited. “These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children” (Deuteronomy 6:6–7).
Holy Father, strengthen believers to remain courageous and united, showing love and integrity so that the next generation sees living faith in action. “Stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong” (1 Corinthians 16:13).
Heavenly Father, ignite a passion for discipleship among UAE Christians so that future generations will not abandon their beliefs but pass on the hope of Christ. “And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others” (2 Timothy 2:2).
The United Arab Emirates (UAE), is one of the most wealthy and advanced countries in the Arabian Peninsula – Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah, and Umm Al Quwain are the seven emirates of the fedaration. Christianity, though not native to the UAE, entered through expatriates and visiting missionaries, with early Christian influence traced back to the Church of the East in the Gulf centuries ago and later through modern church leaders who helped establish congregations for foreign workers.
Today, UAE’s Christian teenagers face immense struggles—living under tight government monitoring of churches, restricted internet access to Christian resources, and increasing social and legal pressure against public expression of faith. While radio Bible broadcasts have provided access to the Word, the UAE Church remains under threat from persecution, censorship, and the fear of deportation.
