Day 17
China
Praise Points
Praise God for the zeal of the persecuted Chinese Church, which sends out thousands of missionaries to countries where the Chinese government has political influence (The Bible, Matthew 5:13).
Praise God for the perseverance of our beloved Chinese Brothers and Sisters amidst extreme restrictions and persecution (The Bible, Romans 8:35).
Prayer Points
Pray for the international community to help countries buy their way out of Chinese Debt Trap loans (The Bible, Psalm 41:1).
Pray for God’s protection of Chinese house church networks from discovery (The Bible, Psalm 61:3).
Pray for the efforts of the Great Commission workers in China and a bountiful Kingdom Harvest from the land (The Bible, Romans 8:28).
A Call to Salvation
Let the Holy Spirit soften the hearts of high-ranking officials and military leaders in the Chinese Communist government so that they can hear the Gospel Message and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior (The Bible, Hebrews 1:14).
Promise to the Nation
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s Will is—His good, pleasing and perfect Will (The Bible, Romans 12:2).
China is an economic powerhouse and a mighty military power in East Asia. They try to intimidate countries in the Southeast Asian region over maritime borders and dispute ownership of strategic islands. They have global trade ties and immense influence in the Middle East, Africa, South America, and Asia. They use the infamous “debt trap” infrastructure loans to grab territory from other countries. The Hambantota International Port in Sri Lanka exemplifies many of these. The Chinese Church faces some of the most extreme forms of persecution. The technological advancements by Chinese companies enable the government to watch and act against Christians in the country. The Chinese underground house churches are of particular interest to the Communist Chinese government.
