Pakistan: In its effort to tackle serious crimes, the Investigation Police apprehended 110 suspects linked to the assault of 103 women this year. Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Zeeshan Raza shared insights from the performance report for the first quarter of 2025, stating that the Investigation Police arrested suspects in 40 cases, including the murders of 15 women, and successfully rescued 988 women who had been abducted in connection with 972 reported cases.
Regarding child abduction incidents, the police handled 129 cases and rescued 144 victims, according to DIG Raza. He also mentioned that 44 suspects were taken into custody for 41 cases of child physical assault, alongside those wanted in 487 cases of harassment against women.
