The Israel-Hezbollah conflict is a long-running and violent struggle between Israel and the Lebanese group Hezbollah. It became much worse after October 8, 2023, when Israel launched major attacks on Lebanon. By September 2024, it had turned into a full-scale war. Over 4,000 people have been killed, more than 17,000 injured, and nearly 1.4 million forced to leave their homes. In November 2024, both sides agreed to a ceasefire to stop the fighting. But the peace has not held. Israeli forces continue to attack southern Lebanon almost every day, saying they are targeting Hezbollah fighters. Lebanon says Israel has broken the ceasefire about 3,000 times. At least 224 people have died in these attacks since the agreement. Israel was supposed to fully withdraw from the area by January 26, 2025, but it has not done so. It still controls five outposts along the border. The situation remains tense and dangerous.
Pray for the leaders of Israel and Lebanon to uphold the ceasefire agreement between the two nations. Pray for peace and justice to prevail in the region (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 29:4).
Pray for the unity and oneness between the authorities of Lebanon and Israel to find a peaceful solution to end the conflict. Pray for the complete eradication of extremism and violence in the region (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 21:3).
