The ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel, established in November 2024, aimed to restore stability after more than a year of conflict, with both Hezbollah and Israeli forces agreeing to withdraw from southern Lebanon. However, both sides have accused each other of violating the truce. In the last few days, Israel carried out airstrikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut, killing Hezbollah official Hassan Bdeir and three others, wounding seven. Bdeir, suspected of assisting Hamas, was struck by Israel in an attempt to stop a supposed terror threat. The attack, coupled with past strikes, strained the delicate ceasefire, and Hezbollah issued a threat of limits to their patience. The current war has caused significant casualties and displacement since October 2023.

Pray for the authorities of Lebanon and Israel to uphold the ceasefire. Pray for lasting peace and friendly relations between the two countries (The Holy Bible, Matthew 5:9).

Pray for the LORD’s protection over the innocent lives caught in the ongoing conflict. Pray for the LORD to bless the people facing uncertainty with hope and a future (The Holy Bible, Jeremiah 29:11).
