The Committee on Academic Freedom of the Association for Iranian Studies warned that the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran has seriously affected Iran’s education system. In a letter sent to international leaders, the group accused the US and Israel of targeting universities, schools, and medical research centers, saying such attacks violate international humanitarian law. The statement mentioned damage to institutions including Sharif University of Technology and the Pasteur Institute of Iran. It said the war has caused both physical and psychological trauma for students and educators, adding to the pressure already created by political repression in Iran. The organization called for international condemnation of attacks on educational institutions, an end to the conflict, and support for rebuilding damaged academic infrastructure.

Abba Father, strengthen students, researchers, and educators facing fear and uncertainty, and give them hope for the future. Amen (The Holy Bible, Jeremiah 29:11).

Lord, guide world leaders and international organizations to pursue justice, defend human dignity, and protect educational institutions during times of conflict. Amen (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 31:8).
