In Nigeria’s Plateau state, 52 people were killed in a deadly attack on the villages of Zike and Kimakpa, adding to over 100 deaths in under two weeks due to ongoing intercommunal violence. The attack, carried out by around 100 armed men using guns and machetes, left dozens injured and houses burned. Victims included children, and many families have been displaced. Plateau state is a hotspot for violent land disputes, often between Muslim Fulani herders and Christian farmers, fueled by ethnic, religious, and climate-related tensions. President Tinubu has ordered a thorough investigation, vowing to end the cycle of violence. Local authorities condemned the attacks, warning that they pose a serious threat to peace and stability in the region.

Pray for the LORD’s intervention in the Plateau state in Nigeria to end the violent attacks and the inter-communal conflicts. Pray for the divine protection upon all the civilians living in the state from violence and evil-doers (The Holy Bible, Psalm 46:9).

Pray for the wise counsel of the Nigerian authorities to prevent further attacks and to restore peace and stability in the Plateau state. Pray for the Love of GOD to supernaturally fill the hearts and minds of the people in the state to end the ethnic and religious tensions. Pray for the people of GOD in the region to be salt and light for the non-believers during this time of uncertainty (The Holy Bible, Matthew 5:13-16).
