Rising secularism and moral decline – “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind” (Romans 12:2).
A Call to Salvation
Foster unity and reconciliation among churches – “Bear with one another and forgive one another, if anyone has a grievance against another” (Colossians 3:13).

With its 5,000-year history, China has been a cradle of civilization, enriched by its contributions to philosophy, literature, and culture. Ancient dynasties, such as the Han, Tang, and Ming laid the foundations of Chinese art, governance, and social systems. At the same time, Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism profoundly shaped its moral and spiritual landscape.
Christianity entered China in waves, from Nestorian missionaries in the 7th century to Jesuit priests in the 16th century, including figures like Matteo Ricci, who bridged Western and Chinese knowledge to establish early Christian communities. Hudson Taylor, a modern-day missionary strengthened Christians’ faith, despite political turbulence and restrictions.
Today, Chinese Christian teenagers face enormous challenges, including government surveillance, societal pressure, and limited access to religious education. Internal divisions among churches, doctrinal disagreements, and the rise of secularism have weakened unity, making it more difficult to preserve the faith. Biblical renewal, which involves repentance, Christ-like living, embracing humility, love, and steadfastness in faith, is essential for Chinese Christians to prevent the gradual erosion of Christianity in their country.
