DJIBOUTI: The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) has greenlit $214.47 million in funding to launch the second phase of the South Sudan-Ethiopia-Djibouti Transport Corridor Project. This important regional project aims to enhance trade, improve connections, and stimulate economic growth in all three countries. In Djibouti, the focus will be on upgrading the 18-kilometer Dikhil-Mouloud section, which is crucial for transporting goods between the inland areas and the country’s vital ports. Additionally, 15 kilometers of feeder roads will be improved to help support local communities and their mobility.

  • Father, we pray for the smooth and successful implementation of the South Sudan–Ethiopia–Djibouti Transport Corridor Project. Grant wisdom, unity, and integrity to all leaders and workers involved. May this project strengthen regional peace, cooperation, and stability among the three nations (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 16:3).
  • Lord, let this development bring economic growth, improved trade, and opportunities that uplift local communities—especially those along the Dikhil-Mouloud route. May the improved roads become channels of blessing, safety, and prosperity for the people (The Holy Bible, Deuteronomy 28:12).
