MONGOLIA: Mongolian Prime Minister Gombojavyn Zandanshatar has strengthened his power by making several strategic appointments, tightening control over his government after he survived a no-confidence vote in October. These actions show a careful plan to shape the political scene and ensure stability within the ruling Mongolian People’s Party. Signs of this consolidation appeared with important changes in personnel. The prime minister removed the justice minister, which put rival Amarbayasgalan under scrutiny. In early November, he also dismissed Deputy Prime Minister Amarsaikhan, who was a close ally of Amarbayasgalan, and replaced him with Khassuriin Gankhuyag. Finally, the Prime Minister promoted Jadambyn Enkhbayar to First Deputy Prime Minister and gave him the responsibility of overseeing economic development.
- Pray that Prime Minister Gombojavyn Zandanshatar and all government officials will lead with wisdom, integrity, and a genuine commitment to justice as they make political and administrative decisions that affect the nation (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 11:14).
- Pray that the political restructuring will bring peace, stability, and progress to Mongolia, and that God will guide the nation toward righteousness, unity, and long-term prosperity (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 14:34).
