Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the storming of Al Aqsa Mosque/Al Haram Al Sharif by extremist groups under Israeli protection, calling it a blatant violation of international law and the historical status of Jerusalem’s holy sites. Ministry spokesperson Fouad Majali reaffirmed that Israel has no sovereignty over Al Aqsa, warning that ongoing incursions threaten to impose a temporal and spatial division of the holy site. Jordan urged the international community to pressure Israel to halt violations against Islamic and Christian sites, end aggression in Gaza and the West Bank, protect Palestinians, and support their right to establish an independent state.
Abba Father, bring peace to Jerusalem and protect all who worship You in spirit and truth. Lord, defend the oppressed and protect holy places from violence and disrespect. In Jesus’ name. Amen (The Holy Bible, Psalm 122: 6).
God of mercy, soften hardened hearts and bring understanding and reconciliation between peoples in the Holy Land (The Holy Bible, Psalm 9: 9).
