Major General Mohsen Rezaei, a former commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard and now a member of the Expediency Council, warned that Iran will go to war with the United States if Israel attacks again. Speaking on state TV, he said Israel is trying to provoke Iran and rejected further talks with Western countries, saying such negotiations only help Israel. Rezaei added that if Israel strikes, Iran would hit back not just at Israel but also at American targets in the region. His warning came as Israel increased its security following the UN’s decision to reimpose sanctions on Iran over its nuclear program. Backing his words, Iran’s military chief Abdolrahim Mousavi said the country’s forces are fully ready to defend Iran, highlighting unity between the army and the Revolutionary Guards in protecting the nation.
