PAKISTAN: The Director General of Sindh PDMA, Syed Salman Shah, held a significant meeting with a high-level team from the World Food Programme (WFP) to talk about how the province is getting ready for possible floods in the coming days. The PDMA DG updated the delegation on the special actions that the Sindh government has taken to handle potential flood emergencies. He highlighted that protecting lives, moving people from at-risk areas to safer places, and ensuring the safety of livestock and crops are the government’s main goals. He acknowledged the support from international organizations and thanked WFP for their ongoing partnership. “We are creating a strong coordination system with international and national NGOs to make sure we can respond quickly and effectively if a disaster happens,” he said.
