Syria remains very fragile after more than a decade of civil war. The country needs a political transition that is led by Syrians themselves, where everyone is included and decisions are made fairly and transparently. This transition should help Syrians choose their future peacefully and without outside interference. Right now, the political situation is unstable, and there is a risk that violence could start again. For this transition to work, Syria needs strong institutions, clear rules, and real reforms. Without these, efforts to help the country might fail or be wasted. Many Syrians want to return to their homes, but this will only happen if the country’s damaged infrastructure, such as water, electricity, and schools, is fixed. Without a real political change, long-term peace and stability will be hard to achieve. The current situation makes it difficult for people to live safely and for the country to rebuild.
Pray for political stability in Syria. Pray for the authorities to take effective action to rebuild the damaged infrastructure, such as water, electricity, and schools, in the country (The Holy Bible, Nehemiah 2:18).
Almighty GOD, You are our help in the time of trouble. We pray that You help the Syrians to rebuild their nation after a decade of civil war. LORD, bless Syria with peace, stability, hope, and a bright future (The Holy Bible, Psalm 46:1).
