Since the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack, around 50 Israeli hostages are still held in Gaza. Some are believed to be dead, while others may still be alive. Talks are happening between the U.S., Qatar, Egypt, Israel, and Hamas to reach a deal. The goal is to exchange the hostages for Palestinian prisoners, stop the fighting, and begin rebuilding Gaza. Israel has said it may pause its military operations if a deal is made. However, some Israeli leaders want to fully take over Gaza, which could put the hostages in more danger. Families of the hostages and many people in Israel are protesting, asking the government to bring the hostages home safely. Military officials have warned that a full invasion could risk the lives of the remaining captives. Time is running out, and pressure is growing to find a peaceful solution that brings the hostages home and ends the war.
Pray for wise counsel and oneness of mind for all the authorities involved in the peace talks to end the war between Israel and Hamas. Pray for wisdom and discernment for them to find a peaceful solution to end the war and to bring back the Israeli hostages safe and sound (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 24:6).
Pray for divine protection upon all the remaining Israeli hostages. Pray for their immediate release and safe return to their families, for nothing is impossible with our LORD (The Holy Bible, Luke 1:37).
