Mental health clinics in South Sudan are helping many people deal with stress, trauma, and suicidal thoughts caused by war, poverty, and violence. One such clinic in Mundri helped Joy Falatiya, a mother of five, who became homeless in 2024 and wanted to end her life. After receiving counseling at the clinic, her mental health improved. The clinic is part of a special program started in 2022 to provide mental health care to over 20,000 people. It is run by charities like Amref Health Africa and supported by the government and local groups. However, the program’s funding ends in November 2025, and its future is uncertain. South Sudan has very few mental health services and one of the highest suicide rates in Africa. Experts say more support is needed, but aid is decreasing. Without more funding, clinics like the one in Mundri may close, leaving many people without help.

Pray for unhindered access to health services for those in need in South Sudan. Pray for more funding support to continue the mental health services for the South Sudanese people (The Holy Bible, Psalm 10:14).

Jehovah Rapha, we plead for Your divine intervention in South Sudan. We pray for divine physical and psychological healing for those affected by the conflict in the country (The Holy Bible, Isaiah 57:18).
