Lao authorities are helping people affected by recent floods in many provinces. On 3 August, Vice President Pany Yathotou visited a flooded village in Xieng Khouang Province, where 34 houses were damaged and one person died. She gave supplies and urged local leaders to repair roads, homes, and schools, and move people living near rivers to safer places. In Kasi district, the Lao Red Cross gave rescue tools, early warning systems, and training to six villages to improve flood readiness. A national fundraising campaign has also started to support provinces hit by Typhoons Wutip and Wipha. Over 26,000 families in 14 provinces have been affected. Deputy Prime Minister Kikeo Khaykhamphithoune delivered emergency aid worth over LAK 769 million. Officials are repairing damage and sending food, medicine, and supplies. Lao leaders promise to keep helping flood-hit areas and are watching for more rain.

Pray for the flood relief materials and other basic needs of the flood victims to reach them on time. Pray for the success of the efforts of the Lao government to protect and provide for the people affected by the recent floods (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 11:14).

Pray for divine provision and protection for all the people in need in Laos during the uncertain weather conditions. (The Holy Bible, Psalm 91:4).
