An unreached people group in Central Asia has less than 2% of its population following Jesus. Many men from this group travel to nearby countries for work, often staying away from their families for up to two years. They typically work in places such as markets, shops, and restaurants. Family is very important, and multiple generations often live together in one home. When guests visit, men and women sit separately, and women typically stay at home, caring for children and the elderly. It is difficult for Christians in this group to meet openly because of strong cultural and religious restrictions. Fear of persecution, such as losing jobs or family rejection, stops many from sharing their faith. Despite over 100 years of missionary efforts, there are only about 100 known believers worldwide.
Pray for a breakthrough in strongholds of cultural and legal barriers among the unreached in the Central Asia region. Pray for more spiritual hunger in the hearts of all the unreached in the area, which can only be satisfied by the Love of the Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior (The Holy Bible, John 6:35).
Pray for divine protection and strength for the small number of believers in Central Asia. Pray for freedom of religion and worship in the region. (The Holy Bible, Matthew 10:31).
