MONGOLIA: Mongolia sees democratic and representative systems that involve cooperation among many nations and public involvement as vital for peace and stability. The country will keep its promises to the international community and work closely with the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and other global parliaments to create a more peaceful future. Mongolia follows a foreign policy that is independent, open, peaceful, and based on multiple approaches. It believes that solving challenges through harmony and dialogue is key to enhancing global peace and security. In this light, Chairman Amarbayasgalan shared information about Mongolia’s recent constitutional amendments aimed at strengthening parliamentary governance and ensuring fair participation from different social groups. These changes include increasing the number of Members of Parliament to 126 and implementing a mixed electoral system. Thanks to these reforms, the number of female MPs has increased to 32, which meets the goals set by the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
- Lord, we pray that Mongolia’s constitutional amendments lead to stronger parliamentary governance and fair representation for all social groups, fostering a political environment where diverse voices can be heard and contribute to the nation’s growth and stability (The Holy Bible, Exodus 15:1).
- Lord, we pray that Mongolia’s commitment to open dialogue and cooperation with the international community bears fruit, promoting global peace and security and serving as a model for other nations in addressing challenges through harmony (The Holy Bible, Psalm 119:28).
