The strikes also destroyed the port dock, which was under repair after a previous bombing. Israel accuses the Houthis of using the port to transfer weapons from Iran. Defense Minister Israel Katz said the goal is to prevent the Houthis from rebuilding military facilities. A Gulf official warned the situation could spark wider regional chaos. The Houthis have resumed attacking ships in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, claiming ties to Israel. Tensions remain high as fears grow over a broader Middle East conflict.
