Israel carried out another airstrike on Yemen’s Hodeida port, saying it was targeting Houthi military sites. This is the second time in a month that Israel has attacked the port. Israel says the Houthis have been firing missiles and drones at Israel to support Hamas in Gaza. According to Israeli officials, the port was being used to store weapons from Iran and launch attacks. The airstrike destroyed fuel containers, equipment, vessels, and the dock, which was being repaired after a past strike. Defense Minister Israel Katz said the goal is to stop the Houthis from rebuilding their military abilities. Israel warns that Yemen could face serious consequences like Iran if the attacks continue. Tensions are rising in the region, especially as the Houthis have resumed attacks on ships in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. Israel sees this as part of a larger threat and wants to prevent further Houthi aggression.
Pray for wise counsel for the Israeli authorities to take immediate action to stop attacks from the Houthis. Pray for divine protection upon all the civilians in the country (The Holy Bible, Psalm 28:8).
Pray against all illegal weapon trade between Iran and the Houthis in Yemen. Pray for the international authorities to take action to end the maritime disputes in the Red Sea. Pray for peace and justice to prevail in the region (The Holy Bible, Isaiah 51:4).
