West Bank: The United Nations reported that an Israeli military operation initiated in January in the northern part of the occupied territory has displaced tens of thousands of individuals, leading to worries about potential “ethnic cleansing.” Since the start of Israel’s “Iron Wall” operation in the northern West Bank, approximately 30,000 Palestinians have been forcibly displaced. During this time, Israeli security forces have also issued demolition orders for around 1,400 homes in the northern West Bank, which, depending on the situation, could be considered “equivalent to ethnic cleansing” and may “constitute a crime against humanity.”
