Algeria: Algerian authorities have announced the dismantling of an international criminal network that was involved in smuggling vehicles from Libya to Algeria through fraudulent means. The Algerian police stated that they smuggled the vehicles from Libya by forging their exterior serial numbers. The operation was part of efforts to combat transnational organized crime. The statement further revealed that the network falsified vehicle data and registered them with multiple municipalities across various Algerian provinces. These vehicles were then resold and moved to other provinces to evade security forces and were reported to have been used in criminal activities.
- Lord, we pray that the authorities involved will effectively dismantle the criminal network and bring all perpetrators to justice. May those affected by these illegal activities find solace and support as the truth is revealed (The Holy Bible, Amos 5:24).
- Lord, we pray for the protection of the communities affected by these criminal activities. May God grant wisdom and strength to the security forces as they work to restore safety and uphold the law in the provinces impacted (The Holy Bible, Psalm 9:9).
