Thousands of people protested in Tel Aviv on 05th July, demanding a ceasefire in Gaza and the return of hostages held by Hamas. Families of the captives joined the rally, holding signs that said “Bring them home now.” The protests happened as Israel’s security cabinet met to discuss Hamas’ response to a possible ceasefire and hostage deal, brokered by the U.S. Hamas said it responded “positively” but wanted more talks. Israel plans to send a team to Qatar for further negotiations. Hamas is asking for a full end to the war, which started on 7th October’2023, when Hamas attacked Israel, killing 1,200 people and taking 251 hostages. Around 50 hostages remain. In response, Israel launched a military offensive in Gaza, where over 57,000 Palestinians have died, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry. Prime Minister Netanyahu may visit U.S. President Trump next week to continue talks.
Pray for the spirit of oneness among the authorities involved in ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas. Pray for the peaceful end of the war in the region (The Holy Bible, Matthew 5:9).
Pray for the immediate and safe return of the remaining Israeli hostages. Pray for the Israeli government to take immediate action for their release and safe return to their homeland (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 23:18).
