Sharing the Gospel in North Korea is extremely dangerous. The government sees Christianity as a serious threat. Owning a Bible, praying, or talking about Jesus can lead to prison, torture, or even death. Families of believers can also be punished. Some Christians try to send Bibles and Gospel messages into North Korea by balloons or plastic bottles from South Korea. These bottles often include rice, money, and USB sticks with Christian content or South Korean music and dramas. But the South Korean government has started cracking down on these actions to avoid angering North Korea. Still, many brave people continue to risk everything to bring hope to North Koreans. Underground churches exist, but they must stay hidden. Despite the risks, the Gospel is quietly spreading. North Korea remains one of the most dangerous places in the world to be a Christian or to share the message of Jesus.

Sovereign LORD, break the chains of religious oppression in North Korea. Let Your Kingdom come, and Your Will be done in the country, in the Mighty Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen (The Holy Bible, Matthew 6:10).

Pray for the Holy Spirit to open the eyes and minds of the people of North Korea, including the Kim family, to be receptive to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Savior (The Holy Bible, Matthew 24:14).
