Day 6

OCTOBER | 2025

Guinea

PRAYER FOR THIS COUNTRY

Praise Points

Lord, we thank You for Guinea’s natural resources and fertile lands, which provide opportunities for its people’s livelihood. “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it” (Psalm 24:1).

Father, we praise You for the perseverance of Christians in Guinea, who, despite being a small minority, continue to gather and worship You faithfully. “For where two or three gather in My name, there am I with them” (2 Corinthians 13:11). “Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another” (Hebrews 10:25).

Gracious God, thank You for the missionaries of the past who brought the light of the Gospel to Guinea, leaving a witness that still stands today. “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news” (Romans 10:15).

Prayer Points

Almighty God, we pray against the instability caused by coups and military rule, asking You to bring forth leaders who seek justice and peace. “Your rulers are rebels, partners with thieves; they all love bribes and chase after gifts” (Isaiah 1:23).

Lord, protect Guinea from the growing danger of Islamic extremism, and shield Christian youth from persecution and fear. “Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted” (2 Timothy 3:12).

Father, we cry out against Guinea’s isolation and corruption, which deepen the suffering of ordinary citizens and close doors to development. “Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees” (Isaiah 10:1).

A Call to Salvation

Lord, raise up strong disciples among Guinean youth so they may be anchored in Your Word and bold in their witness. “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith” (Colossians 2:6–7).

Father, help the churches of Guinea to walk in unity and integrity, resisting compromise with corruption and fear. “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace” (Ephesians 4:3).

The God of hope ignites in Guinea’s Christians a passion for evangelism so that the next generation may not abandon the faith but instead proclaim Christ with courage. “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be My witnesses… to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8).

MORE ABOUT THIS COUNTRY

Guinea is a West African nation. It is culturally diverse, with more than 20 ethnic groups, vibrant music traditions, and deeply rooted Islamic practices, which make up the majority religion.

Christianity entered Guinea through Portuguese Catholic traders in the 15th century and later through French Catholic and Protestant missionaries, who established schools, built medical centers, and churches. However, Christian teenagers in Guinea today face immense struggles. They live in a society where Islam dominates, educational infrastructure is weak, and political instability following multiple coups—including the most recent one that caused Guinea’s isolation from the African Union—creates uncertainty and insecurity.

The Guinean Church is under threat from Islamic extremism, political oppression, and internal weakness due to limited discipleship.

Thailand

PRAYER FOR THIS COUNTRY

Praise Points

Lord, we thank You for allowing Thailand to be spared colonization and major civil wars, allowing a heritage of stability and peace. May this peace become the soil where Your Gospel can grow. “He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two.” — Psalm 46:9

Father, thank You for missionaries like Dan Beach Bradley, who sowed the seeds of faith. May their legacy continue to bear fruit in new believers. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God who makes things grow.” — 1 Corinthians 3:7

Prayer Points

Lord, expose and dismantle systems of corruption that fuel poverty and trafficking. Raise righteous leaders who fear You. “Woe to those who make unjust laws… to deprive the poor of their rights.” — Isaiah 10:1–2

Father, rescue the innocent trapped in Thailand’s trafficking rings. Break the networks of evil and deliver the captives. “He has sent Me to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.” — Isaiah 61:1

Lord Jesus, free Thailand’s youth from drug addiction and hopelessness. Fill them with purpose and Your Holy Spirit. “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

A Call to Salvation

Lord, rebuild Christian families in Thailand. Let parents teach their children Your truth daily and lead them in faith and love. “These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children.” — Deuteronomy 6:6–7

Father, raise a generation of Thai youth unashamed of the Gospel, who walk in purity and courage amid a corrupt culture. “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.” — 1 Timothy 4:12

Holy Spirit, ignite revival among Thailand’s believers. Let the Church unite in love, truth, and mission to reach the lost. “Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?” — Psalm 85:6

MORE ABOUT THIS COUNTRY

Thailand, known historically as Siam, a Southeast Asian country in the 10/40 Window Region. Christianity arrived in the 16th century through Portuguese missionaries, later followed by Protestant missionaries such as Dan Beach Bradley and Karl Gützlaff in the 19th century. Bradley’s medical and printing ministry laid the foundation for the spread of Christian education and literacy in Thailand.

Today, however, Christianity remains a small minority — less than 1% of the population — in a nation where Buddhism shapes nearly every aspect of life. Christian teenagers in Thailand face social rejection, pressure to conform to Buddhist rituals, and economic hardships linked to poverty, unemployment, and corruption. Many Christian youths are drawn into the same traps that afflict their peers — drug use, trafficking networks, and the sex industry, which thrive amid government corruption and weak law enforcement. The Thai Church struggles with external opposition, internal complacency, disunity, and materialism.

For Thailand’s Christians to withstand these storms, there must be a biblical return to holiness, discipleship, and family faithfulness. Parents must raise children in the Word of God, not cultural compromise. Churches must resist the comfort of religion without repentance, and believers must become light in a morally dark society. The call is clear: “Be holy in all your conduct” (1 Peter 1:15), and “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind” (Romans 12:2). Only then can the next generation stand firm and keep the flame of faith alive in Thailand.
