IRAQ: Iraq is increasingly vulnerable as conflict between the United States, Israel, and Iran intensifies. Iranian-backed militias in Iraq have launched attacks on US targets, prompting retaliatory strikes within Iraqi territory and raising fears that the country could become a proxy battleground. At the same time, wider regional tensions—such as disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz and attacks on Gulf infrastructure—are placing pressure on Iraq’s oil-dependent economy. These developments are worsening political instability and security risks, leaving Iraq caught between powerful forces and facing serious economic and humanitarian challenges.
Abba Father, we declare that the LORD’s peace will prevail over Iraq, and that every plan of violence and destruction will come to an end. Amen (The Holy Bible, John 14:27).
