CAMBODIA: During the traditional New Year celebrations in Cambodia, road traffic accidents resulted in 17 deaths and 45 injuries. While this marks a decrease compared to the previous year, road safety remains a serious concern. A total of 27 accidents were recorded, with major causes including speeding, reckless driving, failure to follow traffic rules, drunk driving, and driver fatigue. Despite the improvement, road accidents continue to be a leading cause of death and economic loss in the country, highlighting the need for stronger awareness and enforcement of safety measures.
Heavenly Father, we ask for Your protection over all travelers in Cambodia. Keep drivers, passengers, and pedestrians safe from harm and accidents. Amen (The Holy Bible, Psalm 121:8).
Father, we pray for families who have lost loved ones or those injured in accidents. Comfort them in their grief and bring healing to those who are suffering. Amen (The Holy Bible, Matthew 5:4).
