EGYPT: Egypt’s Health Ministry reported that a passenger train derailed in Matrouh governorate, resulting in the deaths of three people and injuring 94 others. The ministry explained that the train was on its way from Alexandria to Matrouh when it overturned, leading to the deployment of 30 ambulances to the scene. The injured passengers were taken to Dabaa Central Hospital and Ras El Hekma Hospital, where officials assured that medical teams and blood supplies were available for their treatment. The ministry also promised that strict penalties would be enforced on anyone found responsible and stated that any acts of negligence would lead to immediate dismissal.
