With ten million people displaced and staring at a potentially deadly famine, the Sudanese people are in a difficult position. Yet, no one in the world seems to care about this civil war. A few countries are happy to supply weapons and increase the longevity of this deadly conflict. However, none of the world’s big powers are forthcoming to mediate a truce between the fighting factions.

The US is intentionally ignoring this conflict due to elections in November this year. Russia, in the meantime, is supplying arms to both factions. Egypt, Turkey, Iran, and UAE are the other countries that are profiting from weapon sales that we know of at present.

The Sudanese Civil War is not on anyone’s radar to intervene and establish peace—no one except Intercessory Prayer Networks. They are the only ones who want an end to this conflict apart from the Sudanese people.

The Bible, Matthew 5:9

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called Children of God.”

Pray for the UN, the EU, and other countries that can significantly influence world events to force an arms embargo on Sudan.

Pray for the international community to rush into action and protect the Sudanese people from facing a famine amidst the civil war.

Pray for all warring factions to stop fighting and start peace talks to establish a lasting democratic way of governance in Sudan.
