South Sudan’s primary source of income was through oil revenues. Oil transportation is through a network of pipelines that go through Sudan. The civil war in Sudan saw the rupturing of the main pipeline. The country is spiraling down into an economic disaster with no other backup infrastructure. Over 75% of the South Sudanese population still depend on international aid. Ethnic groups continue to clash despite the civil war ending. They are staring at disaster on all fronts. The country’s military has not received their salaries in over nine months. The majority of government offices are empty. Very few government officials work despite the hardships. There are no jobs available, and inflation is extremely high.

The Bible, 1 Kings 4:29
“God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore.”

  • Pray for God to raise HIS Children to create new industries in South Sudan.
  • Pray that developed countries provide residency for South Sudan’s diplomats struggling to pay rent.
  • Pray for God’s Children to take positions in the South Sudanese government’s critical economic policy-making departments and help pull their struggling nation from financial bankruptcy.
