MALDIVES: President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has confirmed that the government is dedicated to creating a society where everyone can access information and opportunities without obstacles. He emphasized how important Braille is for helping people with visual impairments learn, gain independence, and maintain their dignity. The President finished by reiterating the Administration’s promise to build a Maldives where kindness shapes policies, inclusion is at the heart of governance, and accessibility makes sure that no one is left out. The First Lady also urged everyone to show kindness and compassion, encouraging actions that make sure each person feels recognized, supported, and empowered in our communities.

  • Pray that President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and national leaders will continue to be guided by wisdom, compassion, and justice as they create policies that ensure accessibility, dignity, and equal opportunities for people with disabilities so that no one is left behind (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 31:8).
  • Pray that the spirit of kindness and compassion encouraged by the First Lady will grow within communities, leading people to actively support, empower, and include those with visual impairments and all vulnerable individuals (The Holy Bible, Micah 6:8).
