Guinea-Bissau is a West African country that borders the Atlantic Ocean on the west. The country, if managed effectively, can be self-reliant. They have food resources from cash crops like Palm Oil, Cashews, Peanuts, Potatoes, and Beans. They also have excellent livestock, poultry, and seafood. Guinea-Bissau has rich deposits of Bauxite and Phosphates. There is also the scope for offshore oil drilling. However, the government must be more educated and competent to maximize the economic output. Instead, they are one of the poorest countries in the world, with a drastic decrease in organized criminal activities. It is fast becoming the trafficker’s haven for drugs, weapons, and human trafficking.
