Iraq’s Foreign Minister, Fuad Hussein, said that Iraq is now getting about $87 billion in foreign investment, showing that the world has more confidence in Iraq’s economy. Speaking at the Tehran Dialogue Forum, he explained that Iraq is working to grow its economy by investing in the gas industry, with plans to fully use its gas resources by 2028. He also said the government is focusing on improving other key areas like petrochemicals, religious tourism, and farming. As part of its economic reform plans, Iraq is working with two international companies—one to give expert advice to the Trade Bank of Iraq and another to handle public relations—to help improve the country’s credit rating and bring in even more investment.

Abba Father, we praise You for the opportunities You are opening for Iraq’s economic renewal. Grant wisdom and integrity to its leaders as they steward foreign investments and pursue sustainable development. May their reforms bring peace, prosperity, and blessing to the people of Iraq. In Jesus’ name. Amen (The Bible, Proverbs 24:3–4).

Lord, we pray that Iraq’s resources, especially in energy and agriculture, would be managed justly and wisely. May this growth lead to jobs, justice, and flourishing communities. Raise up leaders who seek peace and righteousness for the good of all (The Bible, Psalm 85:12).
