Human trafficking and online scams are growing problems in Thailand and Southeast Asia, with young people becoming the main targets. Criminal groups use advanced technology like AI to run scams, often forcing trafficked victims to do the work. Many of these workers are young people tricked by fake job offers and held under threats and violence. A recent forum in Bangkok brought students, migrants, and experts together to raise awareness and discuss solutions. The event showed that youth are not just at risk, they can also help stop trafficking by spreading awareness and reporting abuse. Victims shared personal stories of how they were trafficked and later rescued. Many are wrongly seen as criminals, even though they were forced into scams. The UN and its partners are working through the PROTECT project to support vulnerable groups like migrant women and children. The goal is to prevent trafficking, improve protection systems, and help victims rebuild their lives safely.
Pray for the LORD’s love, comfort, healing, and strength to cover and heal all human trafficking victims, especially the youth population, in Thailand. Pray for the LORD to bless them with hope and a bright future (The Holy Bible, Jeremiah 29:11).
Pray for the success of all the efforts of the authorities to eradicate human trafficking and online scams in Thailand. Pray for divine protection upon all the people in the country, especially the youth. (The Holy Bible, Psalm 12:5).
