LIBYA: The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) celebrated the successful voting process in 16 towns across eastern, central, and southern Libya. They expressed their gratitude for the voters’ dedication to democracy. The mission also highlighted the impressive turnout of 68%, as reported by the High National Elections Commission (HNEC), and was pleased that Election Day went smoothly without any security issues. Furthermore, they urged all involved parties to uphold the fairness of the election process and to let the HNEC finish counting the votes and share the initial results openly.

  • Lord, we pray for continued peace and unity in Libya, that all parties involved recognize the importance of a fair electoral process and work together harmoniously for the good of the nation (The Holy Bible, 1 Timothy 2:2).
  • Lord, we pray for the High National Elections Commission (HNEC), that they may conduct the counting of votes with integrity and transparency, ensuring that the results truly reflect the will of the people (The Holy Bible, John 17:21).
