TIBET: The International Republican Institute, along with ICT, the Office of Tibet, and other organizations dedicated to promoting religious freedom in China, organized the event “Faith Under Siege.” The event attracted a diverse group of supporters for various causes, including Tibetans, Uighurs, Hong Kong residents, Southern Mongolians, Chinese Christians, and others. “Faith Under Siege brought together people from many different religions and backgrounds,” stated Tencho Gyatso, President of ICT. “However, we share a common fight against the Chinese Communist Party’s ongoing attacks on religious freedom. We will continue our efforts until our friends and family in Tibet can practice Tibetan Buddhism openly and without fear.

  • Lord, we pray for the individuals and communities affected by religious persecution, that they may find strength and courage to practice their faith freely (The Holy Bible, Acts 22).
  • Lord, we pray for unity among different faith groups advocating for religious freedom, that they may work together effectively and support one another in their struggles (The Holy Bible, Galatians 5:1).
