MONGOLIA: Infighting within the ruling party is hindering important reforms, increasing risks for Mongolia’s stability and investment. The push for economic reform in Mongolia has come to a halt due to internal issues. The Mongolian People’s Party, which used to work well together, is now filled with personal conflicts. Prime Minister Gombojavyn Zandanshatar has taken a strong stance, accusing parliamentary speaker Dashzegviin Amarbayasgalan of being involved in a coal theft scandal. However, no proof has been shared publicly. Zandanshatar also suggested that Battumuryn Enkhbayar, a former justice minister, should return to his old position.
- Lord, we pray for the leaders of Mongolia to seek unity and work together for the common good, setting aside personal conflicts for the sake of the nation’s stability (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 11:14).
- Lord, we pray that leaders will be guided by wisdom in their decisions, especially regarding reforms and addressing corruption, for the betterment of Mongolia’s future (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 21:5).
