Morocco is working to build its video gaming industry to create jobs and offer new opportunities for its youth. The government hosted a gaming expo in Rabat, inviting global developers, students, and tech companies to showcase games, virtual reality experiences, and e-sports competitions. With youth unemployment nearing 30%, officials see gaming as a way to attract investment, inspire young people, and grow the economy. Morocco’s gaming industry already earns over $500 million annually, and the goal is to double that by 2030. Plans include training programs in game design, coding, and virtual reality, plus a $26 million investment in “Rabat Gaming City,” which will feature co-working spaces, production studios, and startup support. Minister Mehdi Ben Said said the aim is not just money, but empowering young Moroccans. Students are eager to turn their passion for gaming into careers, as the country positions itself as a gaming leader in Africa.

Pray for the youth population in Morocco. Pray that, like the arrows in the hands of a warrior, the young people in the nation, in the Hands of the Almighty GOD, are doing HIS Purpose (The Holy Bible, Psalm 127:4).

Pray for wise counsel for the authorities to create more employment opportunities for youth in Morocco. Pray for the success of the government’s efforts to empower the country’s youth population (The Holy Bible, Psalm 28:7).
