Bangladesh’s chief adviser, Muhammad Yunus, began a three-day official visit to Malaysia at Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s invitation. The trip follows Anwar’s visit to Bangladesh last year and will include an official welcoming ceremony, bilateral talks, and the signing of multiple MoUs in sectors such as defence, energy, semiconductors, and trade. The leaders will also discuss regional and global issues while strengthening cooperation in trade, labour, education, tourism, and defence. In 2024, Malaysia-Bangladesh trade reached RM13.35 billion, with petroleum, palm oil, and chemicals as Malaysia’s main exports, and textiles, footwear, and manufactured goods as Bangladesh’s main exports to Malaysia.

Abba Father, we pray for wisdom, peace, and unity in the discussions between Malaysia and Bangladesh, that their partnership may bring mutual prosperity and stability (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 16:3).

Lord, may this visit foster deeper friendship and cooperation, and may every agreement serve the good of both nations’ people (The Holy Bible, Philippians 2:4).
