LIBYA: Libya Crimes Watch documented various abuses, such as unlawful killings, arbitrary arrests, and military actions in residential areas. They noted a constant lack of proper investigations and accountability. The organization’s monitoring reported that two children died, one civilian was injured, and a detainee at Ubari Prison passed away due to worsening health issues. They also found two decomposed bodies of unidentified migrants along the coastlines of Tripoli and Al Bayda. Libya Crimes Watch stated that several groups are legally accountable for these violations. This list includes the 103rd Infantry Battalion linked to the Ministry of Defence under the Government of National Unity, the Judicial Police Authority, and local authorities in western coastal cities. The organization accused these groups of either being directly involved or failing to stop the abuses and protect civilians.

  • Pray that God’s justice will prevail in Libya—that those responsible for abuses against civilians, detainees, and migrants will be held accountable, and that leaders and authorities will be guided by righteousness, truth, and fear of God (The Holy Bible, Amos 5:24).
  • Pray for God’s protection over civilians, children, detainees, and migrants, and for comfort and healing for families who have lost loved ones. Ask God to raise helpers and defenders who will safeguard human life and dignity (The Holy Bible, Isaiah 30:18).
