Israel has conducted recurrent airstrikes against Yemen for more than one year, bombing power stations, ports, fuel storage facilities, and factories in response to alleged Houthi attacks. The airstrikes have hit crucial civilian infrastructure but have not killed Houthi leaders or halted their activities. The strikes indicate Israel’s air capabilities but also its failure in intelligence since civilian targets are destroyed and Houthi leaders are left intact. Houthis continue to fire at Israel, including a recent cluster bomb-tipped missile, and report more than 1,600 attacks since the start of the Gaza conflict. Yemeni people claim Israel’s airstrikes exacerbate a severe humanitarian crisis. Houthi leaders mobilize support using the airstrikes, presenting themselves as the champions of the Palestinians. Civilians decry the destruction of public facilities, and experts think that airstrikes alone would not be enough to vanquish the Houthis. Most of the Yemenis fear more misery as long as Israel’s war against Gaza continues unabated and the Houthis retaliate with increasing attacks.
Pray for the LORD’s intervention in Yemen to thwart the evil-doers and their plans against the peace and prosperity of the nation. Pray for the divine protection for all the Yemenis from airstrikes (The Holy Bible, Zechariah 2:8).
Pray for a breakthrough against the stronghold of Houthis over the nation, Yemen. Pray for the LORD to cut all the unholy alliances and foreign support of Houthis and their evil works in the country. Pray for all the Yemeni people to exercise their rights and freedom without any hindrances (The Holy Bible, Psalm 129:4).
