U.S. President Donald Trump said that Israel has agreed to the key conditions for a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza. He urged Hamas to accept the deal, warning that the situation would worsen otherwise. The final proposal will be delivered by mediators from Qatar and Egypt. The war began after Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, 2023, killing about 1,200 people. Since then, over 56,000 people in Gaza have died, according to health officials there. Around 50 Israeli hostages are still in Gaza, with at least 20 believed to be alive. It is not clear if Hamas will accept the new deal. Trump will meet Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu next week and says he believes Netanyahu wants peace. Meanwhile, Israeli airstrikes continue, and aid groups have accused Israel of harming civilians trying to get food. Israel denies this and says it is trying to stop Hamas from interfering with aid.
Pray for wise counsel and oneness for the authorities involved in the ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas to find a peaceful solution to end the war. Pray for the success of the peace talks (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 11:14).
Pray for the immediate and safe return of the remaining Israeli hostages from Gaza. Pray for divine protection upon them (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 13:12).
