Fresh violence erupted between Chittagong University (CU) students and local residents near Gate No. 2, following earlier clashes sparked by the alleged assault of a female student by a guard. The conflict escalated with brickbats, sticks, and stones, injuring many students and damaging nearby homes. Over 100 students were injured in the initial clash, with two students now fighting for their lives in critical condition. Families of victims, including Shahena Akhter, expressed grief and fear as their loved ones remain hospitalized. Law enforcement was notably absent during the outbreak, raising concerns over campus security and safety.

Abba Father, stretch out Your healing hand over the injured students, especially those in critical care. Bring comfort and recovery to their bodies and peace to their families. Lord, calm the anger and tension between students and locals. Replace hostility with understanding, and may Your peace guard this community (The Holy Bible, Psalm 147:3).

Lord, protect the students, families, and residents from further harm. Raise up wise leaders and authorities to ensure safety and justice (The Holy Bible, Psalm 18:2).
