From April 25–28, 2025, Bhutan warmly welcomed Their Majesties the King and Queen of Thailand for a historic State Visit—their first to the Himalayan kingdom. The royal couple received a grand and heartfelt reception, greeted not only by Bhutan’s King and Queen but also by enthusiastic citizens across the country. Schoolchildren lined the streets with flags and flowers, while traditional performances honored the Thai royals’ arrival. This visit marked a major milestone in Bhutan-Thailand relations, celebrating shared spiritual values, deep cultural ties, and a mutual commitment to sustainable development. The State Visit not only reaffirmed the strong friendship between the two nations but also paved the way for future cooperation, dialogue, and cultural exchange. It was a symbol of unity, goodwill, and a shared vision for the future.
Lord, we thank You for the peaceful meeting between the leaders of Bhutan and Thailand. May their example of unity and mutual respect inspire nations across the world. Guide the kings and queens with wisdom and compassion, that their leadership may bless their people and honor Your name (The Bible, Proverbs 8:15).
Lord, we pray for lasting peace, understanding, and fruitful collaboration between Bhutan and Thailand. May their bond continue to grow through shared values, culture, and purpose. Let this visit be a seed of harmony that bears good fruit in the years to come (The Bible, Psalm 133:1).
