Afghan returnees face danger and hardship in Afghanistan, especially since the Taliban took power in 2021. Many are sent back from countries like Pakistan, Iran, Turkiye, and some in Europe, even though Afghanistan is still unsafe. The Taliban’s strict rules, especially against women and minorities, make life very hard. Women are banned from school, most jobs, and even public places. Minorities like Hazaras face violence and have little protection. People who worked with foreign groups or the former Afghan government are at high risk of arrest or worse. Some returnees have been detained or disappeared right after arriving. Many have lost homes, jobs, and support. Families are torn apart, and the mental health impact is severe, with some taking their own lives out of fear. Returning to Afghanistan often means poverty, danger, and trauma. Sending people back under these conditions breaks international law and human rights protections.

Pray for the international authorities to take immediate action to stop the forced deportation of Afghan refugees from the host countries. Pray for the Afghan refugees to find a haven. Pray for the LORD to be with them wherever they are (The Holy Bible, Deuteronomy 31:6).

Pray for divine protection upon all the returnees, women, and minorities in Afghanistan. Pray for divine provision for all the Afghan families. Pray for the LORD to bless them with hope and a bright future (The Holy Bible, Jeremiah 31:17).
