In South Sudan, young people aged 18 to 35 make up 72% of the population, but many are unemployed. More than half of them don’t have jobs because there are not enough skilled work opportunities, and education doesn’t match what employers need. This keeps youth away from helping build peace and grow the economy. To help, programs offer training in skills and business to thousands of young people, helping them earn money and start small businesses. Some programs also teach leadership and peacebuilding, encouraging youth to stop violence and become community leaders. Technology and innovation centers help youth turn ideas into real businesses. Many young people have already benefited from these programs, gaining jobs and skills. Strong partnerships and support are important to keep helping youth. Empowering young people is very important for South Sudan’s peace and future growth. When youth are supported, they can help build a better country.

Pray for the youth population in South Sudan. Pray that, like the arrows in the hands of a warrior, the young people in the nation, in the Hands of the Almighty GOD, are doing HIS Purpose (The Holy Bible, Psalm 127:4).

Pray for wise counsel for the authorities to create more employment opportunities for youth in South Sudan. Pray for the success of the efforts to empower the country’s youth population (The Holy Bible, Psalm 28:7).
