GAZA STRIP:In other news, data gathered by the UN and its partners from more than 900 households in Gaza during July showed that people are still experiencing trauma, which is causing mental health problems like anxiety and depression. Care workers are also feeling traumatized, so those working in the protection sector have begun offering mental health and emotional support to their staff. At the same time, the UN is still working to deliver aid into the Gaza Strip.

  • Lord, we pray for those suffering from trauma, anxiety, and depression, that they may find peace and healing in the midst of their struggles. May they receive the support they need to overcome their emotional pain (The Holy Bible, Psalm 147:3).
  • Lord, we pray for the caregivers and workers in the protection sector, that they receive strength and emotional support as they deal with their own trauma while helping others. May they be equipped to continue their vital work with resilience and compassion (The Holy Bible, Matthew 11:28).
